Yes. I AM Going There!!!

Good Morning Lovies. I guess I should start off with warning you all, this is going to be a controversial entry. I am going to try to be as tactful as I can; but with this subject being soooooo touchy, it may spark arguments and rage towards me. This is NOT my intention.

I am just tired of "paying the price" for something neither me nor my ancestors did!!!

Yesterday, someone had posted on facebook, that a Catholic school in my area, is going to have a student council that is only for Black students. To be VERY blunt, I find this wrong; and I will tell you why...

Has there not be a fight and resolution for segregation in the 1960s???

Why would you want to ignore what history has taught us all, as people???

Do NOT get this twisted since I am a white woman writing this. The problem I find with this, besides the segregation, is if you allow it for one "race" (I hate using that word... we are the HUMAN race... just different shades of wheat); than you need to open the door for everyone to have an individual council for their own race. It doesn't make sense. Wouldn't it be better to have one student council and have everyone represented there???

What blows my mind, although at this point I really shouldn't be surprised, is Catholic schools here in Ontario, are funded by our government... so it is literally the government who is allowing this segregation to happen. They are purposely allowing what was finally coming together, to split apart with hatred AGAIN. How are you not seeing this???

They've created this thing called DEI, which stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. To put it simple, it basically protects everyone but white Christians. Sorry for being blunt, but that is the reality we are living here in Canada. Remember I am writing this as a Norse Pagan Witch, not a Christian. I just don't think this is right...

Please don't misunderstand me, I, along with many, am conflicted about Christianity and all the horrendous deeds they did to my, and your ancestors. The Dark Ages and the Crusades for example, but like I said... did we not learn from history? We are simply in a new era, with new "enemies".

This brings me back to what I was originally speaking about...

SLAVERY!!!

Yes, I am fully aware of slavery and the mistreatment of the Indigenous people of our lands. I am NOT making excuses for it. I am absolutely sickened by it. So with everything going on in the world today, my question to you is this... (because I have heard it from quite a few people now)... what is happening to the white people now, is it well deserved???

I ask this for a reason.

I know 100% factually, that my ancestors never owned slaves, nor were they here during brutal, savage attack of Christopher Columbus on what is now known as North America. AGAIN, this is not me making it seem smaller than what it was. I CAN with certainty say that my ancestors were slaves as well. As Pagans/Heathens/Witches, we were persecuted, maimed, raped, beheaded, drowned and burned. I am not comparing people's traumas nor who suffered worse because that is always in the eyes of the beholder.

The bottom line is this... as a whole... as the human race, did we not learn from history? Did we not learn from our own history?? Why are we allowing the government, who is supposed to be working for the people, push us back decades only to fit THEIR agenda???

Can someone MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE???!!!
